The Thunga family has been associated with silk for over 35 years now. Thungasilk International was started by Mr. Thunga Ramachandra in 1981, he has single handedly recreated the trading tradition of the family from scratch after a period of severe misfortune, it was just started as a five person operation and today employees more than a 1000 families directly and indirectly.

A dedicated team of more than 250 employees has helped us gain a loyal patronage from more than a 200 customers and 20 brands who are widely spread across the globe. We have been accoladed on many occasions from the Indian Government for our outstanding business excellence.
